Painting!

I've wanted grey (greige?) walls for like 4 years, but so wasn't about to tackle the ridiculously high ceilings in our living room to do it. Another thing I've learned from buying and selling a few houses is to go neutral and do it all over. Plus, I live it, so it will be in every room 😁 I did let Lucy pick her color and it's called "pixie dust" but is a really sweet pale pink. 

I ended up picking the middle which is called "seashell grey" -- just a Lowe's Valspar color. Nothing fancy. The thousand Benjamin Moore color pins on my Pinterest were wasted. Oh well. I like it. 

Started on the master bedroom tonight. It's not dry--so still looks pretty whitish. 

Oh, the trim...why? Just why would you paint it PEACH?! 

Floors!

Right after ripping up the carpet. Floors appear to be in great shape! 

Found bonus hardwoods in the foyer area under tile. We had only planned on ripping out carpet that night and weren't prepared to bust up tile. But between Britt, Alan, and Michael, they got it all out. KK and I just hauled trash all night! 

Remember how they looked with tile? 

That was definitely the best surprise of the night! 

Here they are after being sanded--we decided to not put a stain on them. 

And, finally...done!

 

We love them and are really happy with the way they turned out! I love how NOT orange they are. They look very clean and fresh to me.
