Exciting Month!

June has been great!

At the beginning of the month, I had the privilege to be there when my dear friend Kristen had her third baby. It was absolutely an honor to be there with her and her family to photograph those sweet (and tiresome) moments while she was in labor and admiring her new baby.

About two weeks later Britt and I went down to Apalachicola, FL for Ashley and Brad's wedding. It was beautiful! Apalachicola is a sweet little town. Britt and I stayed at the Gibson Inn which was pretty neat--and haunted apparently!

Britt and I have also been doing a few chores around the house. This week we've been staining our deck. I had no idea what a chore this would be! We started on Sunday and we're still working on it. Here are just a few pics of the progress. Next week I'm going to repaint our guest bathroom and change out the hardware to match our new light fixtures.

Our garden is looking good this summer. We moved it to a different spot in the yard. I think it gets a lot more sun too. It should only be a few days before we have some fresh tomatoes. We had some peppers last week that were pretty yummy. We also have peas, beans, corn, squash, and cucumbers coming too!

July is just around the corner, and I can't believe how fast this summer is going by. We're going down to Adel/Valdosta, GA for the Fourth to visit with Britt's family and friends. I can't wait to take pictures of cute Gavin and Mason while we're there. When we get back, I'm going back to school for three weeks (just a few hours each day) to do some tutoring for the AHSGE. I'm actually looking forward to having a little something to do each day.

And it's been ANOTHER 6 months!!

Where does the time go? I haven't updated anything since January! It's been a great 6 months. School went well. I really settled into my new job. The kids were great and I will have many of the same ones again next year. My AHSGE scores were really good, so I think I'll have a job for awhile! Phew! It feels so good not to have to pack up my classroom this summer...and even better to NOT be job hunting :) I am truly grateful for everything.

Some quick updates:

In March Britt and I went to ITALY for Spring Break! It was absolutely amazing.
