It's been six months since the last time I updated this! We've been a little busy!
I DID get a job this school year; 2 days before students came back from summer break! So, since August 8, I've been going non-stop. I've been teaching at OHS and have loved it. It was only a temporary (one semester) job however. But it led to a permanent position at CHS where I'll start back after Christmas. I'm very excited to have a "real" job...in other words, a classroom that I don't have to move out of this summer. I've been working hard to make it cute and get everything ready for the kiddos to come back after Christmas. I think Britt is going to help me move some stuff down this afternoon. I took the opportunity during Christmas break to "Pimp my Podium" (as opposed to Pimp my Ride :) ) . Britt helped me add some shelves and casters so I can roll it instead of drag it in my classroom.
Britt spent this fall studying for his CIH (certified industrial hygienist) exam. He really only took breaks for football...haha...which means he didn't study on Saturdays at all! He took his CIH the week before Thanksgiving and passed!!! It's a really big deal since only about 37% of people pass the test on their first try! It was a 7 hour test in Tupelo and the whole drive home he had me thinking that he was going to have to retake it. When he got to the house he informed me that it was "opposite day" and that he had actually passed :)
We only went to one UGA game this year and that was in Auburn and it was COLD! Other than that, we've had a pretty low-key fall. Of course there were several weddings and showers. My best friend from home, Katelin, got married in October. Her wedding and recepetion were both in Enterprise and were gorgeous!
We had a great Christmas. My dad bought me a Nikon D60 so Britt and I are taking a photography course starting in January. It's on Thursday nights each week, so be on the look out for some new pictures. I also got an Artisan Kitchen Aid mixer from my hubby :) Of course BBandB sent the wrong color so we had to send it back. But I'll post pics of the lastest cullinary adventures using The Mixer.
